Hey, creatives! If your brain batteries are low, but you fancy some gentle and straightforward reflection/ planning as we turn the page into the new year, read on...
I use a method with clients that includes reflection and then planning.
But this is no ordinary planning; this is looking ahead with reasonableness, considering our emotional, mental, and physical capacity, and being happy to create a ‘baggy’ plan with plenty of room to welcome new opportunities as the weeks go by.
Why ‘play, pause, stop’? We’ll break the planning down into three parts:
PLAY - which ideas make your heart skip a beat? How can you carve time and energy to do more of this?
PAUSE - often the most intriguing list, it includes all those ideas that don’t have a resting place in your creative business right now. We’ll consider how to handle them so they don’t disappear.
STOP - I’ll encourage you to get a little uneasy and consider what is not making sense for you and your creative business right now.
Who is this workshop for?
My approach is fun, gentle, and exploratory. I encourage you to tune into yourself. So, come if you’re ready to take time out of a hectic period to dig into what’s really going on for you right now.
I won’t provide any blueprints or ‘must do this’ type of stuff. Oh no.
What do I need to know to book a place?
Tickets are £25 each, and I will limit the session to 15 attendees plus me.
Please note the workshop will not be recorded! There will be no replay! I want you to show up, live, and not buy something you might never watch.
The workshop will be 90 minutes long, with a break halfway for a stretch and a cuppa. I’ll share a bit about my philosophy on planning, can-do lists, and why I believe in accountability. Then, through a series of prompts, we’ll get into the ‘play, pause, stop’ lists.
You’ll need some paper, pens, or access to your digital notepads. Most importantly, I want you to come as you are. Cameras off, dogs on laps, however you need to do it.
If you’re thinking, ‘this might make a nice gift’…
I think so too, which is why I’ve made it possible to book more than one ticket.
