Purchases: When you provide me with personal or banking data to make an inquiry, purchase, or delivery, I understand I have your consent to use that information for that purpose only, which may include following up to enquire about your satisfaction with my service. I record statistics about the number of visitors to this website, the purchases made, and by which customers. I don’t store banking data.

Marketing: If you agree to receive marketing communication from me, I have your consent to use the personal data you provide for that purpose. I’ll not sell your personal information to third parties.

Social Media: When you contact me through social media services, I understand I have your consent to keep your contact information and receive communication from me via those social media services according to the policy of the services provider.

Your data: You can contact me at any time by email or by using the contact form on the website to request details of any data I hold and to request that any such data is deleted. All personal information collected is handled securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored on your computer whenever you visit a website, and like most websites, I use cookies to tailor our website to your needs. Cookies don't store sensitive or personal information such as your name, address, or payment details.

Analytics: I use analytics provided by Google and our website host to analyse website traffic.

Third-party services: My website is hosted by Squarespace. They store the data I hold on the website securely behind a firewall in accordance with their privacy policy. Payments are made using Stripe or Paypal. When you make a payment online using that service you agree for them to use your data in accordance with their privacy policy. I use Flodesk to provide marketing communication services and you agree for them to use your data in accordance with their privacy policy. Personal data that I hold is stored securely on password-protected local computer drives and on cloud services by Microsoft, Dropbox, Dubsado, and Google. If you follow a link to another website from our own, please note that they have their own privacy policies, and I do not accept any liability for those websites.

No charge is made by Jo McCarthy for your use of the website, though you should be aware that local telephone call charges at rates as publicised by your telephone operator may apply. • I retain the absolute right to prevent you from accessing the website without prejudice to any of our accrued rights, where I, at my sole discretion, consider that you are contravening our Acceptable Use Policy or any other aspect of these terms.

REGISTRATION

E-MAIL POLICY

I will not respond unless required to do so by law to any electronic mail ("e-mail") that contains threatening, abusive, malicious, pornographic, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise illegal or inappropriate material. I reserve the right to take such action as I, in my sole discretion, deem fit in respect of such material.

Unless you indicate to the contrary, all e-mails received will be taken to be submitted, where appropriate, for publication, free of charge. If I decide to publish an e-mail from you on the website I will incur no liability to you by doing so.

Where appropriate, I will endeavour to respond to e-mails within 7 days of receipt, but I cannot and do not guarantee to respond to e-mails. E-mails will generally be stored for 12 months after which time they will automatically be deleted. An e-mail sent to the incorrect destination is liable to be deleted immediately and if you are unsure of the correct destination for your e-mail please contact jogriffinmccarthy@gmail.com

LIABILITIES

I am not responsible for any technical or other issues that may arise if you download software from an external third-party website (e.g. Acrobat Reader) or upgrade your browser software to enhance your website usage.

I reserve the right to make changes to any part of the website. Due to my policy of updating and improving the website, it may therefore be necessary to change these terms.
